Partner and Managing Director, Digital Health, BCG Digital Ventures
Gunnar leads the healthcare vertical for BCG Digital Ventures. In this role, Gunnar curates a network of partners across the digital and connected health sectors. He is responsible for innovating, incubating and commercializing digital solutions for pharmaceutical, medtech, payor and provider organizations. Within DV’s healthcare vertical, Gunnar is building expertise specific to digital health, including experience design and healthcare-compliant data transmission, storage and analytics.
Recent experience includes leading the innovation, design and development of innovative digital health solutions, including:
A patient companion application to support remote injection / dose delivery for cancer patients, reducing clinic visits and improving patient experience
A 2-sided, next generation marketplace platform to scale functional medicine and bridge the gap between traditional and alternative medical practices
Multiple platforms that connect patients with the resources and supports they need to manage their chronic disease including a diabetes educator and health tracking tool, and a platform for chronic back pain.

Precision Medicine data analytics venture to link phenotype with genotype information
Previously, Gunnar held executive roles and was on the board of multiple Digital Health start-up companies in California. Before that, Gunnar was the Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for Draeger Medical’s global Patient Monitoring and Information Technology business. Prior to that, he advised medical device, telecom and other high-tech companies as a management consultant with BCG.
